Kelly Haldon's summer started off pretty easy -- with a job teaching martial arts at a kid's camp in her hometown. But soon summertime starts heating up when Kelly gets pulled back into the world of private investigation and begins learning the ropes of undercover work.

Before long, Kelly's idyllic summer plans are turned upside down as she becomes entangled in the investigation of the death of an ex-military officer involved in a gay political action group.

As the clues to the military officer's death unfold, Kelly finds herself drawn to another woman involved in the investigation - Nora, the dead officer's lawyer. Should it matter that she already has a girlfriend who is eager to help with the murder investigation?
