Gay Book List

Terms of Service

Last updated July 11, 2026

Welcome to Gay Book List. By accessing or using gaybooklist.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service

Gay Book List is a community-curated catalog of LGBTQ+ books offered for informational purposes. We strive for accuracy but make no guarantee that catalog details (titles, authors, availability, or pricing at third-party retailers) are complete or current.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate others.

Your contributions

You retain ownership of the reviews, ratings, and submissions you contribute. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the Service. You agree your contributions are lawful and your own, and that they are not spam, hateful, harassing, or infringing. We may review, edit, or remove content and may moderate or remove accounts that violate these terms.

Affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links from which we may earn a commission; see our affiliate disclosure. Listing a book is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party retailers or their content.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no scraping that burdens our systems, no attempts to breach security, no unlawful activity, and no interference with other people's use. Use of our API is subject to reasonable rate limits.

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gay Book List is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Copyright & DMCA notices

We respect copyright and respond promptly to takedown requests. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512 to our designated agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office:

dmca@gaybooklist.com

Include: identification of the copyrighted work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature. No formal notice is required for simple removal requests — a plain email to either address works, and we honor those too.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
