Out of the closet and into the classroom

Out of the Closet and Into the Classroom is the first bibliography dealing with homosexuality in books for young people, revealing various ways in which sexual preference and sexuality are presented to this audience. A selection tool for school and public librarians, it covers 194 recent English-language books with homosexual characters or themes. Among the 74 new titles in this edition are 28 picture books for younger readers, many aimed at children growing up as part of lesbian or gay families.
